The values of x is 55°, y is 125°, & z is 125°

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

A figure with one angle = 55° and others as x,y,z

To find:

value of x, y, z

Solution:

Let the angle with measure 55° be m

∴ ∠m = 55°

The angles m & x will be equal as they are vertically opposite angles

∴ ∠m = ∠x......................(vertically opposite angles)

∴ ∠x = 55°

Now,  ∠m + ∠y = 180°................(pair of linear angles)

Angles in linear pairs have a sum of 180°

∴ 55° + ∠y = 180°

∴ ∠y = 180°- 55°

∴ ∠y = 125°

Again, ∠y = ∠z....................(vertically opposite angles)

∴ ∠z = 125°

Thus, the values of x,y, and z are 55°, 125°, & 125° respectively.
