Angle Z = 40° (Alternative Interior Angles are always equal)

Angle Y = 110° - z° (Corresponding Angles are also equal)

= Y = 110° - 40°

= Y = 70°

Angle X = X + Y + Z = 180° (Linear Pair of angles always equals 180°)

= X = x + 70° + 40° = 180°

= x + 40° = 180° - 70° (Transposing 70 to RHS from LHS)

= x = 110° - 40°

= x = 70°

Therefore,

Angle X = 70°

Angle Y = 70°

Angle Z = 40°

ANSWER..

==================================

∠ z = 40° ------ (1)------{ alternate angles

∠ y + ∠ z = 110° -----{ corresponding angles

∠ y + 40° = 110° -----{ from (1)

∠ y = 110° - 40°

∠ y = 70° ------(2)

∠ x + ∠ y + ∠ z = 180° ----{ linear pair of angles

∠ x + 70° + 40° = 180° -----{ from (1) & (2)

∠ x + 110° = 180°

∠ x = 180° - 110°

∠ x = 70°
