Given:

\frac{3y}{4}  + 7 \div  \frac{2y}{5}  - 4 =  \frac{5}{4}

Solution:

=  >  \frac{3y}{4}    +   7  \div  \frac{2y}{5}  - 4 =  \frac{5}{4}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{3y}{4}  + 7 \div  \frac{2y}{5}  - 4 =  \frac{5}{4}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{3y + 28}{4}  \div  \frac{2y - 20}{5}  =  \frac{5}{4}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{3y + 28}{4}  \div  \frac{5}{2y - 20}  =  \frac{5}{4}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{5(3y + 28)}{4(2y - 20)}  =  \frac{5}{4}  \\  \\   =  >  \frac{15y + (28)(5)}{8y - 80}  =  \frac{5}{4}  \\  \\=> 4(15y + 140) = 5(8y - 80) \\  \\ =>60y + 560 = 40y - 400 \\  \\  =  > 60y - 40y =  - 400 - 560 \\  \\  =  > 20y = 960 \\  \\ =  >  y =  \frac{960}{20}  \\  \\ =  >  y = 48

Hence the value of y = 48
