Given -

  • Figure

To Find -

  • Value of y

< EOD = < COF = 2x (vertically opposite angles)

Now,

As we know that :-

➳The sum of all angles which lies in the straight line is equal to 180°.

It means,

→ 3x + 2x + x = 180°

→ 6x = 180°

→ x = 30°

And

➳ x = y = 30° (vertically opposite angles)

Hence,

The value of y is 30°.

Therefore,

Option B is correct.

Answer:

(b) 30 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

from the figure we can conclude that angle 3x + x + 2x ( because 2x is vertically opposite) = 180 degree ( because they are all on a single line and make an angle of 180 degrees)

therefore 6x = 180 degree

x = 30

hence y = 30 degree as angle x and y are vertically opposite
