Find the value of y if x=-y and y=5/2is the solution of equation x+4y-7=0

y=5/2

x+4y-7=0

x+4(5/2) - 7 = 0

x + 20/2 -7 = 0

x+10-7 = 0

x+3=0

x=(-3)

Then, y would be 3 as x= -y

Hey mate thank for the question x=-a, y=5/2 x+4y=7. Putting the value of x and y -a+4(5/2)=7 -a+20/2=7 -2a+20=14 -14+ 20=2a
