So, 2y+10° = 360-220= 140°

Solution,  

The sum of all the angles around a point is 360 degrees . As a  result of this, what we do know is that the summation of all of the degrees these angles are making should be equal to 360  and so we can form an equation like the one shown below.

50+40+130+(2y+10)=360

Now we will solve this equation to find the value of y.

100+130+2y=360

230+2y=360

2y=360-230 ( we carried 230 to the other side)

2y=130

y= 130/2

y=65

Hence, the value of y In this figure will be 65.
