Combine like terms

( 3y + 4y ) + ( 6 + 90° ) = 180°

Add the like terms

7y + 96 = 180°

Subtract 96 from both the sides

7y - 96 - 96 = 180 - 96

96 get cancelled out

7y = 84

Divide 7 from both the sides

$\frac{7y}{7}$ = $\frac{84}{7}$
