\large\sf\underline{Given\::}

  • \sf\:\frac{4x}{7}=4

\large\sf\underline{To\:find\::}

  • Value of x

\large\sf\underline{Solution\::}

\sf\:\frac{4x}{7}=4

  • Cross multiplying

\sf\rightarrow\:4x=4 \times 7

\sf\rightarrow\:4x=28

  • Transposing 4 to RHS it goes to the denominator

\sf\rightarrow\:x=\frac{28}{4}

  • Reducing the fraction to lower terms

\sf\rightarrow\:x=\cancel{\frac{28}{4}}

\small{\underline{\boxed{\mathrm\red{\rightarrow\:x\:=\:7}}}}

\large\sf\underline{Verifying\::}

Not sure about the answer !? Let's verify it.

For verifying we would plug the value of x as 7 in the given equation. Doing so if we get LHS = RHS our answer would be correct.

\sf\:\frac{4x}{7}=4

  • Plugging the value of x as 7

\sf\to\:\frac{4(7)}{7}=4

\sf\to\:\frac{4 \times 7}{7}=4

\sf\to\:\cancel{\frac{28}{7}}=4

\sf\to\:4 =4

\bf\to\:LHS\:=\:RHS
