value of y = 180 - ( 90 + 45 )

= 180 - 135

= 45 degree

We know ,

Addition of three angles of triangle is 180°

So in triangle 1,

40+90+x = 180

130 + x = 180

x = 180-130

x = 50°

Now in triangle 2 ,

45+90+y = 180°

135 + y = 180

y = 180-135

y = 45°

So the value of x = 50° and y = 45°...

( P.S - there is no angle z mentioned in the diagram )
