√0.31428 = 0.560

Given : Numbers √3.1428 and √0.31428

To find : The decimal form of the given numbers upto three decimal places

Solution :

To find the square root of a non perfect square natural number :

1. Put a suitable number of pair of zeros after the decimal point.

2. Now find the square root of the number upto one more decimal places than the desired one by long division method.

3. Now round off the quotient.
