Find the values of a and b: 2a(3x − 1) + 3(a x + 7) ≡ 36x + b

a = 4

b = 13

2a(3x − 1) + 3(a x + 7) ≡ 36x + b

take 2a(3x − 1) + 3(a x + 7)

=> 6ax - 2a +3ax+21

=> 9ax-2a+21

which is congruent to 36x+b

=> 9ax = 36x

ie, 9a = 36

=> a = 36/9 = 4

also, 21-2a = b

=> 21-2(4) = b

=> 21-8 = b

=> b=13
