Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

polynomial P(x) =  x³ - x² -13x + b

There is no a in the equation so i will find value of b only

x-1 is its root so for x =1 P(x) = 0

P(1) = 0

1³ - 1² -(13×1) + b = 0

1 -1 -13 + b = 0

b =13

Similarly x = -3

P(-3) = 0

(-3)³ -(-3)² -13(-3) + b = 0

-27 - 9 +39 + b = 0

b = -3

so value of b is not matching

hence given roots are not correct or equation is missing a somewhere

as question also states that find value of a & b
