Given :       AB

             X   B A

            _______

             B  C  B

To Find :  Value of A , B and C where A , B and C are distinct digits.

Solution:

   A   B

*   B   A

______

       A²     A*B

A*B  B²      0

_________

                  AB = B   or  10 + B     but  if  AB = 10 + B

then BA  = 10 + B and that not possible as then number will be 4 digit number

Hence  AB  = B

It is only possible  when   A = 1   or  B = 0

B = 0  is not possible as then numbers digit will be reduced.

   1   B

*   B   1

______

       1      B

B    B²      0

_________

B     C        B

1  + B²  = C   and  with out carry over  as  B + 0 = B is in next step

B can not be 1 as  A = 1

B = 3 =>  1 + 3² = 10  Hence not possible and no larger value of B is possible

Hence

B = 2  => 1 + 2²  = C = 5

   1    2

*   2   1

______

       1    2

2    4      0

_________

2     5     2
