Let p(x)= x^2 + 2kx + k^2 + 3K.

Since , for the least value of p(x), x is either equal to 0 or 2 .

→p(0)= p(2)

→ 0+0+k^2 + 3k = 4 + 4k +k^2 + 3K

→ 4+4k= 0

→4 = -4k

→ k = -1 .

Thus , k = -1
