Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

60° + angle a = 180° { alternate interior angles}

Angle a = 120°

Angle b + angle a = 180{ co-exterior angles}

Angle b + 120°= 180 °

Angle b = 60°

Angle c = angle b { vertically Opposite angles}

Angle c = 60 °

Angle d + angle c = 180°

Angle d + 60° = 180 °

Angle d = 120°

∠a= ∠d=120° , ∠b = ∠c = 60°

Given:

L || M and P || Q.

To Find:

The angles a, b, c, and d.

Solution:

From the given figure,

Since L || M and P || Q.

∠ a + 60° = 180° (Interior angles supplementary)

⇒ ∠a= 180° - 60°

⇒ ∠a = 120°

∠a = ∠d ( Alternative angles are equal)

⇒ ∠d = 120°

∠c +∠d = 180° (Angle made by a straight line)

⇒ ∠c +120° = 180°

⇒ ∠c = 180° - 120°

⇒∠c = 60°

∠c = ∠b (Vertically opposite angles are equal)

⇒ ∠b = 60°

Therefore ,∠a= ∠d=120° , ∠b = ∠c = 60°
