We wish to find the solution for the letters in the equation: 6A + 87 = CB3

Now,

When two two-digit numbers are added, the greatest number they can possibly add up to is 198 (99 + 99) meaning that C has to be equal to 1.

Then, we have

A + 7 = n3

Now n can be only be 1, because the sum of two single digit numbers cannot exceed 18, meaning A + 7 = 13.

This means that

A = 6.

1 is carried over to the next digit.

Now, 6 + 8 + 1 = 1B

1B = 15

Hence, B = 5.

Answer: A = 6, B = 5 and C = 1
