y + 120° = 180° (Linear Pair)

y = 180° - 120°

y = 60°

  • For finding the value of x we using angle sum property of a triangle.

  • The sum of all angles of a triangle is 180°.

According to angle sum property

50° + x + y = 180°

50° + x + 60° = 180°

110° + x = 180°

x = 180° - 110°

x = 70°

Step-by-step explanation:

In The Given Figure,

=> 120°+Y = 180° Linear Pair

=> Y = 180°-120°

=> Y = 60°

And,

=> 50°+X+Y = 180° Angle Sum Property

=> 50°+X+60° = 180°

=> X = 180°-110°

=> X = 70°

Hence, X = 70°

Y = 60°
