To find:-

  • Value of x and y.

Solution (i)

Given:

  • Angle 50° and 80°

To find:

  • Value of x and y

y = 80° [Vertically Opposite Angle]

➪ We know that sum of angles of triangle is 180°

➦ x + y + 50 = 180°

➦ x + 80° + 50 = 180°

x = 50

Solution (ii)

Given:

  • Angle 50° and 60°

To find:

  • Value of x and y

➩ Sum of angels of triangle are 180°

➩ y + 50° + 60° = 180°

y= 70°

For x

y and x are in straight line so the sum of values in straight angle is 180°

y + x = 180°

x = 110°
