Find the values of x from the following equation: x⁴ – 5x² + 6 = 0

x = +2 , -2 ,+3 and  -3

Let x^2 =t

then  

t^2 -5t +6 =0

factorising this we get

(t-2)(t-3)=0

From here we get two values of t that is 2 and 3

now

if t=2

we know that t = x^2

therefore x^2 =2

and x= + or - Root 2

Similarly

for t=3

x^2 = 3

therefore x= + or - 3

Here we have received 4 roots for the Bi-quadratic equation

that is

+2 , -2 ,+3 and  -3
