DIAGRAM 1) :-

_____________________________________

GIVEN :-

DAC = 40°

B = 110°

line DC ll line AB

TO FIND :-

x = ?

y = ?

z = ?

Proof :-

A + B = 180........ interior angle of parallel lines

A + 110 = 180

A = 180 - 110

A = 70°

similarly,

A + D = 180°........ interior angle of parallel lines

70 + D = 180

D = 180- 70

D = 110°

so,

D = x = 110°

x = 110°

therefore,

40 ° + z = 70° .......angle A

z = 70 - 40

z = 30°

z = 30°

hence,

z = y ........ alternate angles of parallel line z = y = 30°

y = 30° ______________________________________

DIAGRAM 2) :- ________________________________

GIVEN :-

N = 70°

line PM ll line ON

To Find :-

x = ?

y = ?

z = ?

Proof :-

N = z ....... Corresponding angle of parallel lines

N = z = 70°

z = 70°

hence,

z = y ....... alternate angle of parallel lines

z = y = 70°

y = 70°

therefore,

N + x = 180°....... interior angles of parallel lines

70+ x = 180°

x = 180° - 70

x = 110°

x = 110°
