X=44 degree (vertically opposite angles are equal)

z=51 degree (same reason)

y=180-44+51=187(linear pair)

let's give name to 51° as ∠A

∠A = ∠z (opposite angle)

if ∠A = 51°

then angle ∠z = 51°

let's give name to 44° as ∠S

∠S = ∠x

if angle is 44° then ∠x = 44°

sum of all the angle on one side of line is 180°

so ,

∠x + ∠z + ∠y = 180°

44° + 51° + ∠y = 180°

95° + ∠y = 180°

∠y = 180° - 95°

∠y = 85°

It is optional now what I am doing to prove that answer is correct

sum of all the angle on one side of line is 180°

∠x + ∠y + ∠z = 180°

=44° + 51° + 85° = 180°

= 180° = 180°

that means it is proved.
