Step-by-step explanation:

\large\underline{\bf{Solution \:  \: 1}}

Question:-

  • Find the volume and surface area of a cuboid 16m long, 14 m broad and 7 m high.

To find:-

  • Volume and surface area.

Figure:-

  • Cuboid

Formula used:-

\small\boxed{\sf{Volume  \: of \: cuboid = l \times  b\times  h}}

\small\boxed{\sf{Surface \: area = 2(lb + bh + lh)}}

Solution for Volume:-

\large\underline{\sf{Volume _{cuboid} = l \times  b\times h}}

Substituting the values we get:-

\large\underline{\sf{ 16m \times 14m \times 7m}}

\large\underline{\sf{ \implies1568 {m}^{3} }}

\large\underline{\bf{Solution \:  \:  \: 2}}

Solution for surface area:-

 \large \underline {\sf{Surface \: area_{cuboid}  = 2(lb + bh + lh)}}

Substituting the values we get:-

\large\underline{\sf{2(16 \times 14 + 14 \times 7 + 16 \times 7) {m}^{2} }}

\large\underline{\sf{2 \times  {434m}^{2} }}

\large\boxed{\sf{  \implies{868m}^{2} }}

Answer:

Volume = (16 x 14 x 7) m3

= 1568 m3.  Surface area

= [2 (16 x 14 + 14 x 7 + 16 x 7)] cm2

= (2 x 434) cm2

= 868 cm2
