Solution:

Need to find: Volume of cylinder and TSA of cylinder

Given: Height(h) = 30 cm and Radius(r) = 14 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

we have,

  • radius = 14 cm
  • height = 30 cm

→ Volume of cylinder = 22/7 × (14)² × 30

→ Volume of cylinder = 22/7 × 14 × 14 × 30

(multiplying 14 with 14)

→ Volume of cylinder = 22/7 × 196 × 30

(multiplying 196 with 30)

→ Volume of cylinder = 22/7 × 5880

(cancelling 5880 by 7)

→ Volume of cylinder = 22 × 840

Volume of cylinder = 18480 cm³

Now,finding the TSA of cylinder;

TSA of cylinder = 2πr(r+h)

we have,

  • radius = 14 cm
  • height = 30 cm

➢ TSA of cylinder = 2 × 22/7 × 14 (14+30)

➢ TSA of cylinder = 2 × 22/7 × 14 (44)

(dividing 14 with 7) and (multiplying 2 with 44)

➢ TSA of cylinder = 2 × 22 × 88

➢ TSA of cylinder = 2 × 1936

➢ TSA of cylinder = 3872 cm²

Hence,

  • Volume of cylinder = 18480 cm³
  • TSA of cylinder = 3872 cm²
