Solution!!

The height and the radius of the base of a cylinder is given in the question. We have to find the volume and the total surface area (TSA) of te cylinder.

Radius = 7 cm

Height = 30 cm

We have to put these values in the volume formula and the total surface area formula of the cylinder to get the respective values.

Volume = πr²h

Here, r is the radius of the base of cylinder and h is the height of the cylinder.

Volume = (22/7) × (7 cm)² × 30 cm

Volume = (22/7) × 49 cm ² × 30 cm

Volume = 22 × 7 cm² × 30

Volume = 4620 cm³

(Note:- Volume is always in cubic units.)

TSA = 2πr(h + r)

TSA = 2 × (22/7) × 7 cm (30 cm + 7 cm)

TSA = 2 × (22/7) × 7 cm (37 cm)

TSA = 2 × (22/7) × 259 cm²

TSA = 2 × 22 × 37 cm²

TSA = 1628 cm²
