Answer:

h=6cm

slant height, l=10cm

radius ,r=?

Now, l²=r²+h²

r²=l²-h²

r²=(10cm)²-(6cm)²

r²=100cm²-36cm²

r²=64cm²

r=√(64cm²)

r=8cm.

Volume of cone

=πr²h/3

=3.14×(8cm)²×6cm/3

=401.92cm³

CSA of cone

=πrl

=(22/7)×8cm×10cm

=251.2cm²

TSA of cone

=πr(l+r)

=(22/7)×8cm(10cm+8cm)

=(22/7)×8cm×18cm

=452.16cm²

Correct Question :-

Find the volume , curved surface area and total surface area of cone whose height and slant height is 6 cm and 10 cm respectively.

Given :

Height of the cone is 6 cm and Slant height is 10 cm respectively.

To find :

What is Volume of cone?

What is CSA of cone ?

What is TSA of cone ?

Solution :

Using formula ,

Now, According to the Question :-

Firstly find out the radius ,

↠ Slant height² (l²) = Height²(h²) + Radius²(r²)

↠ 10² = 6² + r²

↠ 100 = 36 + r²

↠ r² = 100 - 36

↠ r² = 64

↠ r = √64

↠ r = 8 cm

Now we got the radius

So , we can easily find out the volume by using the formula :-

1. Volume of cone = 1/3 πr²h

↠ 1/3 × 22/7 × 8² × 6

↠ 22/7 × 64 × 2

↠ 2816/7

402.29 cm³

2. CSA of cone = π × r × l

↠ 22/7 × 8 × 10

↠ 1760/7

251.43 cm²

3. TSA of cone = πr( l + r )

↠ 22/7 × 8 (10 + 8)

↠ 22/7 × 8 × 18

↠ 3168/7

452.57 cm²
