To find:

The volume of 0.095 kg of gold .

We know that :

  • density = mass/volume
  • density of gold = 19.30 g/cm³
  • density of gold = 19,300kg/m³

Solution :

Given, mass = 0.095 kg

1 kg = 1000 g

so, 0.095 kg = 95 g

hence, The volume :

volume = mass/density

volume = 95/19.3

volume 4.92 cm³

hence, the volume of gold 4.92 cm³

Additional information:

What is relative Density :

the density of a substance compared to density that of water is called as relative density.

The relative density formula is :

 \tt{rd =  \frac{density \: of \: taken \: substance}{density \: of \: water}}

eg. Density of Iron = 7.87 g/cm³

Density of water = 1g/cm³

so, RD = 7.87/1

so, RD of Iron to water = 7.87
