ANSWER:

  • Volume of cone = 11.78 cm²

GIVEN:

  • Radius = 1.5 cm
  • Height = 5 cm

TO FIND:

  • Volume of cone

SOLUTION:

Formula:

Volume of cone is:

 = \frac{1}{3} \pi \: r {}^{2} h

Here :

  • Radius = 1.5 cm
  • Height = 5 cm

Now putting the values we get:

  = \dfrac{1}{3} \times \pi \: (1.5) {}^{2} \times 5 \\ \\ = \frac{1}{3} \times \frac{22}{7} \times 2.25 \times 5 \\ \\ = \frac{247.5}{21} \\ \\ = 11.78 \: cm {}^{2} (approx)

NOTE:

some important formulas:

  • Volume of cylinder = πr²h
  • Volume of cone = πr²h/3
  • Volume of Cuboid = (length)(Breadth)(Height)
  • Volume of cube = (Edge)³
