Here, we are given that the area of base of the cylinder is 42 cm² and its height is 5 cm. We have to find its volume.

In order to find the volume of the cylinder, we'll use the formula of volume of the cylinder. We know that volume of cylinder is πr²h , in which πr² is the area of base. And we are given the value of area of base. We'll apply it in the formula to find the volume.

 \underline{\pmb{ \sf {\maltese \; \; \; Given \: Information \:   : \; \; \; } }}

• Area of base of the cylinder = 42 cm²

• Height (h) = 5 cm

• Volume of the cylinder

 \underline{\pmb{ \sf {\maltese \; \; \; Calculation \: \:   : \; \; \; } }}

We know that,

\bigstar \: \boxed{\sf { Volume_{(Cylinder)} = πr^2 h}} \\

We know that,

  • Area of base of cylinder = πr² , as it exists in the shape of circle.

According to the question,

 \longrightarrow \sf { Area_{(Base)} = 42 \: cm^2 }

Now, substituting values-

→ Volume of cylinder = 42 cm² × 5 cm

 \boxed{\textbf { \textsf { Volume= 210}} \: \bf  {cm}^{3}  }

Therefore, volume of the cylinder is \sf { 210 \: cm^3 } .

Hence, we got the answer !

Given :

Area of base = 42cm

Height (h) = 5cm

To find :

Volume of cylinder

Solution :

In the question area of base is given 42cm² and Height of the cylinder is 5 cm, we have to find the volume of cylinder And we know that formula of Volume of cylinder is πr²h. Area of base is πr² and height is 5cm. So, By using the formula we can easily find the Volume of cylinder.

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

Where,

  • Area of Base = 42cm²

  • Height (h) = 5cm

Volume = 42 × 5

Volume = 210cm³

∴ Volume of cylinder is 210cm³
