Given:

✰ Length of rectangular box ( l ) = 2a²b

✰ Breadth of rectangular box ( b ) = 5ab²

✰ Height of rectangular box ( h ) = 4ab

To find:

✠ The volume of a rectangular box.

Solution:

➛ A rectangle is a parallelogram with one of its angle equal to 90°.

We will calculate the volume of a rectangular box by using formula.

  • The volume of rectangle is the product of its Length, breadth and height.

Volume of rectangle = length × breadth × height

➤ Volume of rectangle = 2a²b × 5ab² × 4ab

First multiply the coefficients of a and ab

➛ 2 × 5 × 4 = 40

Then multiply the variable b in each case, here while multiplying variables powers get added,

➛ a² × a × a = ( a )²⁺¹⁺¹ = a⁴

After the multiply the variable b in each case

➛ b × b² × b = ( b )¹⁺²⁺¹ = b⁴

Together,

➤ Volume of rectangle = 40a⁴b⁴ cm³

The volume of rectangle = 40a⁴b⁴ cm³
