We will use algebraic formula (a + b) (a - b) = a^2 + b^2


According to question we have,


30.5*29.5 = (30 + 0.5)*(30 - 0.5)


Where a = 30 and b = 0.5



= (30) ∧2-(0.5) ∧2


= 900-0.25


= 899.75


Therefore, answer, the product of 30.5*29.5 without actual multiplication is 899.75
