We know that

Surface area of a cube = 6 × side^2

96 = 6 × side^2

side^2 = 96/6

Side^2 = 16

Taking square root on both the sides

Side = 4 cm

Volume of cube = side^3

= ( 4 )^3

= 64 cm^3

So the volume of cube is 64 cm^2
