Surface area of Sphere = 4πr²
4πr²=616
πr²=616/4
πr²=154
r²=154×7/22
r²=7×7
r=7
Volume of sphere = 4/3πr³
=4/3×22/7×7×7×7
=4312/3
=1437.33 cm³

Given:

The surface area of a sphere is 616cm2.

To find:

The volume of a sphere.

Solution:

The volume of a sphere is 1437.33 cm3.

To answer this question, we will follow the following steps:

As given in the question, we have,

The surface area of a sphere

 = 616 {cm}^{2}

Also,

we know that the surface area of a sphere

 = 4\pi {r}^{2}

So,

 4\pi {r}^{2}  = 616

4 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {r}^{2}  = 616

 {r}^{2}  =  \frac{616 \times 7}{22 \times 4}

 {r}^{2}  = 49

r = 7cm

Now,

The volume of a sphere

 =  \frac{4}{3} \pi \:  {r}^{3}

 =  \frac{4}{3}  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {(7)}^{3}

 = 1437.33 \:  {cm}^{3}

Hence, the volume of a sphere is 1437.33 cubic centimetres.
