Volume of a cylinder is πr^2h
So volume of earth dug out= 3.14x9x24.5=692.37
 {m}^{3}

the volume of the earth dug out will be equal to the volume of the cylinder which is
\pi {r}^{2} h
so, 22/7*24.5*3*3
=692.37 m^3
