Step-by-step explanation:

volume of cylinder = πr²h

but in question area of base is given i.e 150m2

area of base = πr²=150

now,

volume of cylinder = πr²h

= 150×4

= 600m³

Volume tells us how much substance can be fitted into the container

In the given figure,

The bottom part shaded is a circle.

We already know the Base Area which is 150 m²

So, π r² = 150 m²

Volume of any figure = Base Area × Height

Volume of cylinder = π r² × Height

⇒ Volume of cylinder = 150 × 4

Volume of cylinder = 600 m³

Know more:

  • Total surface area of cylinder is 2πr(r + h)
  • Volume of hollow cylinder = πh(R² - r²)
  • Volume of cone is one third the volume of cylinder
