Find the volume of wood used to make a closed box of outer dimensions 60cm×45cm×32cm,the thickness of the wood begin 2.5cm all around.

Outer dimensions = 60 x 45 x 32
Outer vol. = 86,400cm3

Inner dimensions =
(60cm - 5cm)x(45cm - 5cm)x(32cm - 5cm)
Inner volume =55cm x 40cm x 27cm
=54,000cm3

Volume of wood = outer vol. - inner vol.
86,400 - 54,000
=32,400cm3
