Dear Student,

● Answer -

Volume of wood = 27000 cm^3

Capacity of box = 59400 cm^3

Explanation -

# Given -

l = 60 cm

b = 45 cm

h = 32 cm

t = 2.5 cm

# Solution -

Total volume of the rectangular box -

Total volume = l × b × h

Total volume = 60 × 45 × 32

Total volume = 86400 cm^3

Capacity of the rectangular box is -

Capacity of box = l' × b' × h'

Capacity of box = (l-2t) × (b-2t) × (h-2t)

Capacity of box = (60-2×2.5) × (45-2×2.5) × (32-2×2.5)

Capacity of box = 59400 cm^3

Volume of the wood is given by -

Volume of wood = total volume - capacity

Volume of wood = 86400 - 59400

Volume of wood = 27000 cm^3

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
