Find the volume, the lateral surface area and the total surface area of the following cylinders whose
(1) Radius of the base = 21 cm and height = 45 cm
(ii) Radius of the base = 4.9 cm and height = 12 cm.​

Answer:

1) CSA of cylinder = 2πrh

= 2× 22/7 × 21 × 45

= 5940 cm^2

TSA = 2πr(r+h)

= 2×22/7×21(21+45)

= 8712 cm^2

Vol = πr^2h

= 22/7×(21)^2×45

= 62370 cm^3

2) CSA = 2×22/7×4.9×12

= 369.6 cm^2

TSA = 2×22/7×4.9(4.9+12)

= 520.52 cm^2

Vol = 22/7×(4.9)^2×12

= 905.52 cm^3
