Given:-

→Force = 100N

→Distance covered = 80m

→Angle = 60°

To find:-

→Work done

Solution:-

We know that:-

=> W = F × s × cos θ

Where:-

W is work done

F is force

s is distance covered

Here, θ = 60°

=> W = 100×80×cos 60°

•Value of cos θ at 60° = 0.5

=> W = 100×80×0.5

=> W = 4000 J

Thus, work done is 4000 J.

Some Extra Information:-

•Work done by a force on a body is the product of force and displacement of the body.

=> W = s

•Work is a scalar quantity.

•The S.I. unit of work is joule. The C.G.S. unit of work is erg.

=> 1J = 10 erg.
