find the x and y if x-y=14 &x+y=30


ria981: x-y=14 ,x=14+y (equation1) x+y=30, 14+y+y=30. 14+2y= 30,. 2y= 16 . y=8. put in eq. 1 get, x=14+8=22

Hey!!

Using substitution method ,

First equation

x= 14+ y
Substituting the value of x in second equation

14+y+y =30
2y = 30-14
2y = 16
y = 8

Therefore x = 14+8
x= 22
