Answer:

Question:- Find x,y,z

Solution:-

z+x+40+y+x+5x=360°(sum of all angles meeting at a point)

But we should know any two for that

we know

z+x+40=180°(adjacent angles are supplementary)

also

y=x+40

then

z+y=180°(adjacent angles)

also we know

y+x+5x=180°

y+6x=180°

(we know

we knowy=x+40,then)

x+40+6x=180

7x=180-40

7x=140

x=140/7

x=20°

therefore

x=20°

we've

y=x+40

y=20+40

y=60°

And now we've to find z

that is

z+y+x+x+40+5x=360

z+60+7x+40=360

z+100+7×20=360

z+140=360-100=260

z=260-140=120

z=120°

Let's check whether it's correct or not

z+x+y+x+40+5x=360

120+20+60+20+40+5×20=360

140+80+140=360

360=360

L.H.S=R.H.S

therefore the angles are

x=20°

y=60°

z=120°

x+40=20+40=60°

5x=5×20=100°

Hope it helps
