1st way :-

write in the form of y = mx + c , where m is slope and c is the intercept.

so, 2x - 3y - 9 = 0

=> 3y = 2x - 9

=> y = 2/3 x + (-3)

Hence , we get m = 2/3 and c = -3.

2nd way :-

y intercept is when the line cuts the y axis so the point will be (0,y)

sub. (0,y) in eqn, we get

-3y - 9 = 0

=> -3y = 9

=> y = -3

Therefore, the y intercept of the line 2x - 3y - 9 = 0 will be -3 .
