  • According to question slope is "a"

and point given as (1,2)

  • according to slope point form equation of line given as (y-y1)=m(x-x1)
  • we have to find y intercept it means on that point x =0
  • so by putting x=0 and ( x1 , y1 =1,2) and m=a in the normal slope point form we get as fallows

y-2=a(0-1)

i.e y= -a+2

so the y intercept will be -a+2
