For finding zeroes of the polynomial we have to factorise it :

x²- 9 can be rewritten as

x²+3x-3x-9

x(x+3)-3(x+3)

(x-3)(x+3)

Compare the factors with zero :

For (x-3)

x-3 = 0

x = 3

For (x+3)

x+3 = 0

x = -3

Hence , -3 and 3 are zeroes of polynomial x²- 9
