Answer:

p(X)=x-5

p(X)=0

x-5=0

X=5

p(x)=2x+5

2x+5=0

2x=-5

x=-5/2

P(x)=x-5 and p(x)=2x+5

We know that a zero of an equation is the value of x that satisfies the equation p(x)=0

Hence we need to find the values that somehow bring the value of polynomial to 0 if we set the variable to that number. So we always equate it with a zero.

Hence your answer shall be—

1) p(x)=x-5

X-5=0
X=+5, hence the answer

2) p(x)=2x+5
2x+5=0
2x=-5
X= (-5/2), hence your answer.

I hope it helps you friend.
