Answer:

p(x) = x^2 + 5x + 6 = 0

sum = 5

product = 6

so the numbers are = 2 and 3

x^2 + 2x + 3x + 6 = 0

x ( x + 2 ) + 3 ( x + 2 ) = 0 ( taken common terms

outside)

( x + 2 ) ( x + 3 ) = 0

x + 2 = 0 x + 3 = 0

x = 0 - 2 x = 0 - 3

x = -2 x= -3

The zeroes of p(x) = x^2 + 5x + 6 is x = -2 and -3
