 {x}^{2}  + 5x - 14 = 0 \\  {x}^{2}  + 7x - 2x  - 14 = 0 \\ x(x + 7) -2(x + 7) = 0 \\ (x - 2)(x + 7) = 0 \\  \\  \\  x= 2 \: or \: x =  - 7
