BY SPLITTING METHOD:

x^2+7x+12. 12*x^2=12x^2

Factors of 12x^2 (3x*4x) so that we add or subtract the given factors so as to obtain the 7x

x^2+3x+4x+12

(x^2+3x) + (4x+12)

x(x+3) + 4(x+3)

(x+4) (x+3)

BY SPLIT IN THE MIDEL TERM

x^2+7x +12

a = 1 b = 7 c = 12

a X c = 1 X 12 = 12

x^2 + 4x + 3x + 12

x(x + 4) + 3(x + 4)

(x + 4) (x + 3)

Zeroes are : -

x + 4 = 0  or    x + 3 = 0

x = - 4      or    x = - 3
