Answer:-

Given Polynomial : x² - x - 90

By splitting the middle term,

→ x² - 10x + 9x - 90 = 0

→ x (x - 10) + 9(x - 10) = 0

→ (x + 9) ( x - 10) = 0

x + 9 = 0

x = - 9

(or)

x - 10 = 0

x = 10

Verification:

Let a = 1 , b = - 1 , c = - 90

Sum of the zeroes = - b/a

→ 10 + ( - 9) = - ( - 1) / 1

→ 10 - 9 = 1/1

→ 1 = 1

Product of the zeroes = c/a

→ (10) * ( - 9) = - 90/1

→ - 90 = - 90

Hence, Verified.
