Answer :–

  • Option (c) 0, 2, –3

Given :–

  • A polynomial, x(x – 2)(x + 3)

To Find :–

  • Zeroes of the given polynomial.

Solution :–

We know that,

Zeroes of the polynomial are the value at which the value of the polynomial is 0.

p(x) = x(x – 2)(x + 3) ––––– (1)

⟹ x = 0, x – 2 = 0, x + 3 = 0

⟹ x = 0, x = 2, x = –3

⟹ x = 0, 2, –3

Hence,

The option (c) 0, 2, –3 is correct.

Check :–

Values of x are :-

  • 0, 2, –3.

Now, put the value of x in equation (1), we get

⟹ x(x – 2)(x + 3) = 0

⟹ 0(2 – 2)(–3 + 3) = 0

⟹ 0(0)(0) = 0

⟹ 0 = 0

Since, the L.H.S. and the R.H.S. are equal.

So, the value of x = 0, 2, –3 is correct.
