Answer :-

  • - 2 and - 5

Given :-

  • A quadratic equation x² + 7x + 10

To Find :-

  • Zeroes of the quadratic equation.

Solution :-

x² + 7x + 10

[ Split the middle term ]

→ x² + 5x + 2x + 10

→ x (x + 5) + 2 (x + 5)

→ (x + 2) (x + 5)

________________

  • x + 2 = 0

→ x = 0 - 2

→ x = - 2

  • x + 5 = 0

→ x = 0 - 5

→ x = - 5

________________

Hence, the zeroes of the polynomial are - 2 and - 5 respectively.

Answer :

• We have to find the zeroes of the quadratic polynomial x² + 7x + 10 .

We can do this by middle term split

\implies \sf x²\:+\:7x\:+\:10 \\

\implies \sf x²\:+\:5x\:+\:2x\:+\:10 \\

\implies \sf x(x\:+\:5)\:+\:2(x\:+\:5) \\

\implies \sf (x\:+\:5)(x\:+\:2) \\  \\

• Now , equating to zero for finding zeroes of polynomial .

\implies \sf x\:+\:5\:=\:0 \\

\implies \sf x\:=\:-\:5 \\ \\

\implies \sf x\:+\:2\:=\:0 \\

\implies \sf x\:=\:-\:2 \\ \\

Zeroes are -5 and -2 .
